RMI, Micronesia – April 20–21, 2026
The Executive Director and administrative staff from the College of Micronesia Land Grant Program central office joined the Board of Regents meeting of the College of Micronesia Land Grant Program, hosted by the College of the Marshall Islands.
This important assembly was chaired by Chairman Emais Roberts of the Republic of Palau, with Regent Lynn Sonden representing the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) and Regent Minister Gerald Zakios of the Marshall Islands. The meeting also welcomed the partner college presidents Dr. Patrick Tellei of Palau Community College (PCC), Dr. Theresa Koroivulaono of the College of Micronesia-FSM (COM-FSM) and interim president Mrs. Meitaka Kendall Lekka of the College of the Marshall Islands (CMI), who graciously hosted the event alongside her CMI and CMI CRE staff.
Key action items from the January session in Pohnpei were revisited, including approval of minutes, budget updates including capacity grants, adoption of the new COM LGP logo, resolutions, policies and individual update reports from the partner colleges across the Micronesian region including the central office.
The session opened with welcoming remarks from Acting Interim President Mrs. Lekka, followed by formal remarks from Chairman Roberts. The Central Office, together with its CFO, presented a comprehensive financial report, after which Raymond James provided an updated portfolio analysis and new investment projections for the board of regents.
The meeting concluded with a group photo, marking a shared commitment to collaboration and stronger educational governance across Micronesia.
